Job summary

Advanced Health Care in Overland Park is seeking a Dietary Aide I to assist in meal preparation and serving, ensuring nutritious, high-quality dining experiences for residents according to dietary needs and preferences.

You will work full-time with weekends and weekdays, following approved menus, maintaining food safety standards, assisting with dining room setup, and collaborating with dietary staff to promote resident satisfaction. Training and development opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• ServSafe certificate required.
• Current certification from nationally recognized food service/safety accrediting body.
• 1 year experience in skilled nursing care facility or medical facility preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of food, garnishes, snacks and beverages following approved menus and procedures.
• Coordinate with the cook to serve meals, ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed.
• Follow menu extensions and portion control guidelines, monitor and record temperatures to reduce waste.
• Assist daily with kitchen cleaning, dish washing and storage according to the cleaning schedule.
• Monitor temperatures of equipment daily and notify supervisor if out of range.
• Bust dining areas and set up dining room prior to each meal, ensuring cleanliness and presentation.
