Now Hiring Full-time and Part-time Dietary Aides.
Job Summary:

The Dietary Aide is responsible for assisting residents to fulfill specific dietary requirements to promote their health and wellbeing. They also assist the Dietary Manager in planning, organizing, developing, and directing the overall operation of the Dietary Services Department in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, established facility policies and procedures, to ensure that quality food service and nutritional care are provided.

Major Duties and Critical Tasks:
  1. Preparing and cooking food dishes, delivering food to patients, and assisting the kitchen staff in maintaining a clean, sanitary workplace.
  2. Reviewing department policies, procedures, manuals, and position descriptions at least annually, and participating in making recommended changes to stay current on facility protocols.
  3. Interpreting policies and procedures to personnel, patients/residents, visitors, and family members as necessary.
  4. Preparing meals, snacks, and beverages following specific procedures.
  5. Serving meals and ensuring food safety and hygiene procedures are followed at all times.
  6. Taking inventory of kitchen supplies and food items.
  7. Setting up and taking down dining areas and assisting with kitchen maintenance and general cleaning.
  8. Assisting with educational programs on nutrition.
Required Education/Skills/Abilities:

Education: Must possess at least a high school diploma.

Experience: Previous experience as a Dietary Aide is preferred. Bonus experience includes training in cost control, food management, or diet therapy. Any combination of experience and training that provides the required skills, knowledge, and abilities of a Dietary Aide in a skilled nursing facility is acceptable.

Must have reliable transportation.
