Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will assist with food preparation, serve meals according to dietary requirements, and maintain sanitation in kitchen and dining areas.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and possibly ServSafe certification. COVID-19 vaccination compliance and ability to lift 30 lb are required. Positions are onsite in a care facility in Raleigh, NC.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment preferred but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants and staff.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lift up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand/sit/bend/walk for extended periods.
• Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks.
• Work around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification is required by State/County law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
