Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Dietary Aide to prepare and serve meals for residents in a long-term care facility. You will assist with food preparation, ensure dietary needs are met, and provide friendly service to residents and staff.

The role emphasizes teamwork, safety, and adherence to policies. Lifting requirements exist and ServSafe/food handler certification may be required by state law. This position offers opportunities for hands-on training and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Experience in food service or kitchen environment is welcome but not required.
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
• Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with occupants, administration, and leadership.
• Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
• Lifts up to 30 lbs, pushes/pulls up to 50 lbs, stands and walks for extended periods.
• Able to perform routine, repetitive tasks around food and cleaning products.
• Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required by state/county law.
• Residency within the service area required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation, including chopping vegetables and preparing salads.
• Serve meals to residents according to dietary needs and portion sizes.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service.
• All other duties as assigned.
