Dietary Aide - Mount Sinai Brooklyn - 0.6 FTE Part-Time Days Varied

Join us as a Dietary Aide at Mount Sinai Brooklyn. This role involves preparing and serving patient food trays, handling food production for special functions, and managing dishwashing and sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities
  • Perform duties including cleaning work areas, washing equipment, sweeping/mopping, garbage removal, food truck deliveries, cashiering, and other related tasks. Must be able to lift and carry heavy items and work in environments with heat, steam, and temperature changes.
  • Use electronic devices for order taking, menu preparation, tray assembly, logging requests, and entering patient meal preferences via bedside menu systems.
  • Deliver and retrieve trays, respond to patient pages, ensure patient satisfaction during meal times, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Computer proficiency, strong interpersonal skills, and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff.
  • Experience in hospital food service and safe food handling is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills, professional appearance, courteous manner, and ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Additional Information

Collective bargaining unit: SEIU Local 144-MSB-NonRN. The role offers an hourly salary range of $23.72 - $25.23, depending on experience and qualifications.
