Join us as a Dietary Aide at Mount Sinai Brooklyn.

Job Description

Prepare and serve patient food trays, handle food production for special functions, and maintain sanitation and dishwashing duties.

Responsibilities
  1. Perform assigned duties including cleaning, equipment washing, garbage removal, and food delivery. Be prepared to lift and move heavy items and work in heat, steam, and temperature variations.
  2. Use electronic devices for order taking, menu preparation, tray assembly, and logging patient meal preferences via bedside systems.
  3. Deliver and retrieve trays, respond to patient pages, and ensure patient satisfaction during meal times while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proficiency in computer skills, interpersonal communication, and ability to interact effectively with patients and staff
  • Experience in hospital food service and safe food handling preferred
  • Ability to walk, stand for long periods, and transport food items
  • Detail-oriented with good communication skills

Compensation

The hourly rate ranges from $23.72 to $25.23, depending on experience and other factors. Benefits and bonuses are additional.
