Greencroft Communities’ Walnut Hills location in California is seeking a Culinary Services Aide for a full-time morning shift. The role supports the culinary team in daily kitchen and dining operations within a senior living community.

No prior kitchen experience is required; training will be provided to help you succeed and grow within the team. The position emphasizes cleanliness, organized work areas, and reliable performance in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service, restaurants, housekeeping, healthcare, or senior living is helpful, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly dishwashing area.
• Assist with simple food preparation (wash/cut fruits and vegetables).
• Prepare salads, desserts, and basic food items as directed.
• Set up dining areas for resident meals.
• Transport food, dishes, carts, and supplies around the community.
• Clean work areas and remove trash and waste.
• Restock supplies and keep commonly used items available.
• Follow sanitation, infection-prevention, and safety procedures.
• Work with culinary team to keep meal service on schedule.

We're looking for a dependable, energetic team member to join our culinary services team on a full-time morning schedule. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in keeping things clean and organized, and likes being part of a team.

You don't need previous kitchen experience. We'll provide the training you need to become successful in the role.

Your Morning Responsibilities

As a Culinary Services Aide, you'll help prepare the kitchen and dining areas for the day while supporting the culinary team with a variety of tasks.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Washing and sanitizing dishes, utensils, cookware, and other kitchen equipment
• Maintaining a clean and orderly dishwashing area
• Assisting with simple food preparation, including washing and cutting fruits and vegetables
• Preparing salads, desserts, and other basic food items as directed
• Setting up dining areas for resident meals
• Transporting food, dishes, carts, and supplies throughout the community
• Cleaning work areas and removing trash and other waste
• Restocking supplies and keeping commonly used items available
• Following food-service, sanitation, infection-prevention, and safety procedures
• Working alongside culinary team members to keep meal service on schedule

Physical Requirements

This position involves frequent movement and hands-on work throughout the shift. Candidates should be able to:

• Remain standing and walking for extended periods
• Bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions
• Frequently handle items weighing up to 10 pounds
• Occasionally lift items weighing up to 40 pounds
• Safely perform assigned duties while following sanitation and infection-prevention procedures
