Job summary

PACS is seeking a Dietary Aide General Purpose to support kitchen operations in Tarpon Springs, FL. You will learn and perform routine food service activities, assist with meal trays, dishwashing, and meal service while maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen environment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent and may require a food handlers’ certificate. You will work under supervision, contributing to a safe, efficient facility operation.

Qualifications

• Language skills: read technical procedures and follow recipes.
• Math skills: apply fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions.
• Reasoning: solve problems and understand written or diagrammed instructions.
• Must obtain and maintain a food handlers’ certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn food service routines quickly and set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes, operate dishwasher.
• Assist with serving meals and check dishwashing water temperatures.
• Prepare nourishments, sweep/mop kitchen, and maintain clean work areas.
• Carry out trash disposal and participate in training for dietary staff.
