Description:
The primary purpose of your job position is to assist in all dietary functions as directed and ensure that quality dietary services are provided daily. You will be responsible for maintaining the dietary department in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner.

Location: LIFE St, Mary

We are seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to join our LIFE team at LIFE St Mary, part of Trinity Health PACE. Our facility caters exclusively to the elderly, providing a coordinated care model that includes preventive, primary, acute, and long-term care services to help older adults live independently within their community. LIFE St Mary offers both housing and the LIFE program.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food following sanitary regulations and established policies and procedures
  • Assist in setting up meal trays, food carts, dining areas, etc.
  • Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment
  • Perform scheduled cleaning duties as per policies
  • Assist in preparing and serving nutritional supplements and snacks under supervision
  • Develop good working relationships with other departments to meet participants' food service needs
  • Manage inventory and restock supplies as necessary

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Preferred: One year of food preparation experience in healthcare
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Action-oriented, customer-focused, adaptable, and good conflict management
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic email and calendar skills
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting (minimum 20 pounds), and other movements
