Ridgecrest Post Acute is hiring a Dietary Aide to join our kitchen team. You will learn the food service routine quickly, assist with meal tray setup, and help serve meals to residents in a timely, respectful manner.

This role requires the ability to read recipes, follow safety procedures, and maintain clean, sanitary work areas. A high school diploma or equivalent and a food handler certificate are required.

Qualifications

• Learn food service procedures quickly and accurately.
• Set up meal trays and assist with serving.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to learn the food service routine within a short period.
• Set up meal trays.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the different meals.
• Check and record temperatures of dishwashing equipment.
• Observe water temperatures of dishwasher.
• Operate dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks.
• Sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage.
• Put groceries away safely and neatly.
• Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces and refrigerators.
• Participate in orientation and training of dietary staff.
