Qualifications

• Must obtain and maintain food handler's certificate.

Responsibilities

• Set up meal trays for service.
• Strip down returned trays and start washing dishes.
• Assist with serving the various meals.
• Check and record chlorine concentration and water temperature of dishwashing machine at shift start.
• Observe dishwasher temperatures during cycles and operate the dishwasher.
• Prepare nourishments and snacks; sweep and mop kitchen.
• Carry out trash and garbage; store groceries safely.
• Leave kitchen clean and sanitary and assist cook or supervisor as needed.
• Clean work surfaces and refrigerators; sweep and maintain floors.
• Participate in orientation and ongoing dietary staff training.
