Hanover Terrace is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aid to join our caring team in a skilled nursing environment. You will support meal service, assist with food preparation, and help maintain clean dining areas in a resident-focused facility.

The role emphasizes compassionate resident-centered care, collaboration with dietitians, and adherence to safety and quality standards in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in long-term care or other healthcare setting is a plus.
• Attention to detail with excellent follow-up skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding patient, employee and company information.

Responsibilities

• Work with the facility dietitian as necessary and implement recommended changes.
• Serve meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Assist in serving meals on a timely basis.
• Assist in daily or scheduled cleaning duties per established policies and procedures.
• Set up meal trays, food carts and dining areas as instructed.
• Assist cooks in meal preparation.
• Distribute and collect menus as necessary.
• Deliver food carts and trays to designated areas.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures.
