Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a Food Service Associate to support meal preparation and serving for patients and staff at a nursing center. The role involves following center procedures, labeling nourishments, and assisting cooks as directed to ensure smooth meal service.

The position requires attention to detail, the ability to work in a team, and effective communication with patients during meals. Equal opportunity employment is provided by the center.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service within healthcare or similar settings.
• Ability to follow center procedures and safety guidelines.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director.
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures.
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entre foods into dishes; pours beverages.
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate.
• Sets dining room tables for meals when assigned.
• Works on meal tray serving line. Sets-up before start of meal service. Breaks down area and cleans-up at end of serving line.
• Reads and follows tray tickets when serving meals.
• Serves meal trays to patient and pours beverages for patients when assigned to dining room.
• Clears tables of dishes and trash.
• Pushes food carts to appropriate patient care areas.
• Communicates with patients during meal times when serving in dining areas.

Your Job Summary

Food Preparation/Production Responsibilities

• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
