Job summary

Palm Gardens Center for Nursing & Rehabilitation in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Kitchen Aide (Dietary Aide) for full‑time hours. You will prepare meals, maintain a clean station, and help transport meal carts to units.

Qualifications

• Ability to speak and understand English — reading diet cards and taking direction on the fly
• Reliable attendance. Meals don't wait, and the team counts on each other
• Comfortable on your feet, lifting and pushing carts throughout the shift
• Cooking experience is a plus, not a requirement
• Kosher kitchen experience is welcome — training provided if new to it

Responsibilities

• Prep food for daily meal service — washing, peeling, portioning, and setting up trays
• Keep the kitchen clean and sanitary: dishes, equipment, floors, storage areas
• Transport meal carts to the units and return them promptly
• Follow portion, temperature, and diet-card instructions exactly — meals are part of residents' care
• Work alongside the cooks and follow the kitchen supervisor's direction
