Pay Range

This range is provided by Lakeview Specialty Hospital and Rehab. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Base pay range

$15.00/hr - $18.00/hr

Job Responsibilities
  1. Prepare food for residents and staff, maintaining high standards of quality and service.
  2. Maintain infection control, sanitation, and safety policies.
  3. Respect and deliver services to clients as needed and as indicated by the director of dietary services.
  4. Assist in maintaining clients’ dietary needs as prescribed by doctors, ensuring no discrepancies.
  5. Maintain high sanitation standards per the Dietary Policy & Procedure Manual (DPPM).
  6. Manage food storage, labeling, and stock rotation according to DPPM.
  7. Assist in security systems set by the dietary services director.
  8. Prepare all food products within established standards.
  9. Train new team members and vocational employees/clients.
  10. Participate in quality assurance activities.
  11. Adapt to changing situations as needed.
  12. Report unsafe working conditions to management.
  13. Adhere to facility policies and procedures.
Qualifications
  1. Ability to work within a team, demonstrating maturity and tact.
  2. High school diploma or G.E.D.; prior food service experience preferred.
  3. Minimum of one year of on-the-job training for proficiency.
  4. Respect and cultural sensitivity towards patients/residents.
  5. Ability to respond appropriately to dietary restrictions and preferences.
  6. Knowledge of dietary guidelines and ability to consult manuals when needed.
  7. Compliance with vaccination requirements, including influenza and COVID-19.
  8. Adherence to infection control policies, including hand hygiene, isolation, and PPE use.
