Position Summary

The Food Service Assistant is responsible for monitoring food temperatures, maintaining cleanliness, preparing and serving food, restocking, cleaning equipment, handling payments, and other related duties.

Job Responsibilities

• Follow HACCP guidelines for food safety.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with patrons and staff.
• Maintain quality control standards.
• Operate equipment such as grills, beverage machines, toasters, ice cream dispensers, cash registers, dishwashers, refrigerators, and freezers.
• Work independently when needed.
• Understand food safety and sanitation.
• Stand and walk for most of the day.

Qualifications

• Minimum age of 16 years.
• Previous customer service, retail, and money reconciliation experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, follow instructions, and perform basic math.
• On-the-job training provided.
• ServSafe certification may be required depending on location.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) may be required depending on location.
