Forefront Healthcare is hiring for a Full-Time Dietary Aide at our Boonsboro, MD location. Join a supportive team in a growing company dedicated to enhancing the patient and resident experience through high-quality culinary and support services. Our Director of Culinary will provide training to help you succeed in this role.

Position Summary

The Dietary Aide is responsible for setting up dining areas and trays for meal service, following food safety guidelines, and accommodating dietary restrictions based on residents' needs. Assists the cook with meal preparation and service, ensuring timely delivery of meals and adherence to policies to provide high-quality service.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist the cook/supervisor with food preparation and service, following specific procedures and regulations.
• Deliver residents’ meal carts, set up and clean dining areas.
• Record refrigerator temperatures; maintain sanitation and stock supplies.
• Wash and store dishes, ensuring cleanliness and sanitation.
• Follow federal, state, and community rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• Preferred but not required: 1 year food service experience.
• Fluent in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Strong communication skills.
• Desire to work with geriatric residents and understand their needs.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.
• ServSafe certification is desirable but not required.

Education

High school diploma or GED.
