Job summary

Carolina Reserve of Laurel Park, a community of Navion Senior Living, is seeking a qualified Dietary Aide to assist in the preparation, oversight, and serving of meals within our Assisted Living community.

Join our dedicated dining team in a full-time role that emphasizes high-quality food service, adherence to safety standards, and compassionate resident interaction. Training is provided, with benefits including health plan and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Must have a minimum of a 10th grade education.
• Ability to take independent decisions when needed.
• Ability to interpret and implement written or oral policies and instructions.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Effective communication with residents, families, and team members.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and/or pre-portions food for regular and therapeutic diets according to the menu and production sheets.
• Handles food using proper food handling and safety techniques.
• Ensures food is served attractively and tastes are checked for quality before service.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service and records temperatures as required.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Communicates warmly with patients/residents/families and responds to concerns in a professional manner.
