Dietary Aide-Food & Nutrition-Part Time-Day-Mount Sinai Queens

Prepare and serve patient food trays. Handles food production and preparing for special functions. Handles dishwashing and sanitation


Responsibilities
  • Portions out and plates food truck and serves
  • Heats patient food, transport food truck and serves meals to patients
  • Prepares sandwiches for cafeteria and special functions
  • Registers customer orders & transacts with money, Accountable for over/under of register
  • Wipes down tables, chairs, tray line, counters, shelves
  • Prepares salad for the salad bar, wraps cakes and pastries
  • Sets up the counter for breakfast and lunch. Serves breakfast and lunch
  • Serve and replenish hot and cold food in cafeteria
  • Assist in the preparation of special functions
  • Sets up and washes all pots, pans, empties garbage cans
  • Keeps the floor and sinks clean, empties garbage cans
  • Rotates, label, dates and puts deliveries away

Qualifications
  • Education: High School or GED
  • Experience: Food handling experience preferred

Compensation

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $23.1489 - $25.2344 Hourly. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
