Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living in Westphalia, MO is seeking a dedicated food service aide to prepare, serve and safeguard nourishing meals for residents with dietary needs. You will assist in dishwashing and cleaning tasks to maintain a clean, safe dining environment.

Qualifications

• One year of experience in a food service institutional setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of person-centered care.
• Able to interpret written, oral, diagram or schedule instructions.
• Knowledge of professional standards of practice in food service.

Responsibilities

• Handle and store all food according to procedures and safety guidelines.
• Assist with food preparation as assigned by supervisor.
• Prepare items according to standardized recipes while maintaining safety.
• Use supplies and equipment efficiently to reduce waste.
• Operate dish machine and cleaning equipment per guidelines.
• Assist with setup of food tray line or buffet dining.
• Assemble meals and resident trays per procedures.
