Job summary

StoneBridge Senior Living is seeking a dedicated kitchen helper in Owensville, MO to prepare and serve nutritious meals for residents and assist in dishwashing and cleaning tasks. The role emphasizes safe food handling and adherence to standardized recipes.

Responsibilities include assembling meals, setting up dining areas, and ensuring efficient use of supplies while maintaining resident-focused care and safety protocols in a senior living environment.

Qualifications

• One-year experience in food service institutional setting preferred.
• Basic understanding of nutrition and therapeutic diets.
• Excellent interpersonal, organization and communication skills.
• Understanding of person-centered care.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Working knowledge and ability to apply professional standards of practice in job situations.

Responsibilities

• Handles and stores all food according to facility procedures and safe food handling guidelines.
• Assists with food preparation as assigned by supervisor
• Prepare food items according to the standardized recipes insuring safe food handling practices.
• Uses food supplies and equipment in an efficient and economic manner to prevent waste.
• Operates institutional food preparation and cleaning equipment (including dish machine) following manufacturer and supervisory direction.
• Assists with the set-up of the food tray line or set up of buffet dining
• Assembles meals and trays for residents according to the facility procedures.

THIS POSITION IS LOCATED IN OWENSVILLE, MO

Participates as needed to prepare and serves appetizing, nourishing, well-balanced meals to meet the daily nutritional and special dietary needs for each resident. Assists in dishwashing operation and cleaning tasks.
