Job summary

Madera Post Acute LLC is hiring a Dietary Aide in Madera, CA. The role offers full-time and/or part-time shifts with a flexible schedule and weekend availability. Pay starts at $17+ per hour, DOE, with preference for skilled nursing facility experience.

Responsibilities include following proper procedures, labeling foods, ensuring safe temperatures, assisting with tray assembly, and maintaining clean storage areas. High school diploma or GED and 1–3 months related experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Knowledge of special diets is required.

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
• Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
• Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and food storage areas.
• Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service. Records food temperatures according to established policy.
• Assists with the setup of the tray line. Assembles trays according to the planned menu and tray tickets, stated portion, resident food preferences, and diet order and within the established time schedules.
• Assists in checking trays during service for accuracy.
