Job summary

SUN MAR HEALTH CARE is seeking a Dietary Aide in Anaheim. Open to full-time or part-time employment with a flexible schedule and weekend availability. Pay starts at $16+ per hour, DOE. Preference given to those with Skilled Nursing Facility experience.

The role involves following department procedures, proper food handling, and assisting with tray assembly and service while ensuring dietary requirements are met.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months related experience or training.
• Knowledge of special diets required.

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures and stores dishes, utensils and equipment.
• Ensures all food is labeled and dated in refrigerator, freezer and dry storage.
• Oversees proper food handling to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and supplies.
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and storage areas.
• Maintains proper food temperatures during preparation and service; records temperatures as policy requires.
• Assembles trays according to menu, tray tickets, stated portions and diet orders within time schedules.
• Checks trays during service for accuracy.
