Apple Rehab Shelton Lakes in Shelton, CT is seeking a compassionate Dietary Aide to assist with meal preparation, service, and dining area cleanup. You will receive, rotate, and store supplies and interact daily with residents.

The role emphasizes infection control, safety, and sanitation; you will ensure clean storage, report safety violations, and support a welcoming environment. Multiple shift options available, including full-time, part-time, and per diem.

Qualifications

• Ability to walk, bend, lift, push, pull, turn, stoop and stretch.
• Ability to unload and stock groceries on shelves of various heights and to lift large items up to 50lbs.
• Ability to write and record data, to read and follow oral and written instructions in English.
• Ability to remain calm and work efficiently in cases of emergency.
• Ability to communicate with residents, staff, family members in a professional manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of meals and snacks as well as clean up of dining areas. Assists with receiving, rotating and storing of supplies and food. The Dietary Aide has daily interactions with the residents of our community.
• Complies with infection control, safety and sanitation functions of the facility. Ensures that food storage and work areas are maintained in a clean and safe manner, and that equipment and supplies are properly maintained.
• Handles food in accordance with sanitary regulations, and reports immediately all violations of safety or sanitation rules to supervisor.
