Job summary

Waterman Canyon Post Acute is seeking a Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team. The ideal candidate will have prior dietary, food service, or healthcare experience and a passion for providing excellent service to our residents.

The role involves meal preparation, tray assembly, delivering meals, following dietary orders, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting a friendly, patient-focused dining environment on site in San Bernardino, CA.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary aide, food service, or healthcare experience required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Must be dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly.
• Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely manner.
• Follow resident diet orders and special dietary restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation items.
• Store food properly and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory and stocking supplies as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, and staff.
