Job summary

Pavilion on Main Street is seeking a Dietary Aide to join their team. The Dietary Aide is responsible for serving residents’ meals and cleaning routines for the dietary department at this union facility.

The role includes assisting in meal service, sanitation, and daily kitchen tasks, with opportunities for growth within a long-term care setting. Strong reading and communication in English required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to read/understand resident tray card.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Learn to operate an industrial dishwasher within one week.
• Follow sanitation processes and keep areas clean.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals according to established portion control procedures.
• Assist in daily cleaning duties per policies and procedures.
• Clean tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, etc.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils to the wash area.
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
• Wash and clean utensils as directed.
• Keep work areas clean, dry and free of hazards.
• Set up meal trays and dining room as instructed.
• Assist cook with meal prep and food supplies for next meal.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
