Job summary

Aspire Physical Recovery Center at Hoover is seeking a Dietary Aide to support meal service and maintain sanitary areas for residents. You will assist with meal preparation, service, and tray reviews, ensuring accuracy and safety.

Follow all sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures while delivering compassionate care. Weekend and holiday rotations may be required as part of the team.

Qualifications

• A patient, respectful, and upbeat attitude—especially when working with older adults and individuals with disabilities
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English
• At least 18 years of age
• Reliable, dependable, and able to perform the essential functions of the role

Responsibilities

• Support meal and snack preparation, service, and delivery
• Keep work areas, equipment, tables, and floors clean and sanitary
• Wash dishes and utensils; collect soiled items and store clean items properly
• Review meal trays for accuracy based on menus and diet orders
• Store raw and leftover food safely and correctly
• Follow all Universal Precautions, sanitation, safety, and infection-control procedures
• Work some weekends and holidays as part of the team rotation
