We are seeking a Full Time Dietary Aide to join our team!

Hospital Details

SKY REHAB, located in Bowling Green, KY, is a 60-bed inpatient rehab providing rehabilitative services to people recovering from disabilities caused by injuries or illnesses. We help our patients regain their physical or cognitive abilities so they can return home at their highest level of independence. As a smaller, specialized hospital, we offer an opportunity to work in a fast-paced and friendly environment where you get to know your patients and their families. SKY Rehab Hospital is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for various services and specialty programs, including Inpatient Rehabilitation (Adults, Adolescents, and Children), Brain Injury Specialty Program (Adults), and Stroke Specialty Program (Adults). It is also accredited by The Joint Commission.

Responsibilities

Performs duties necessary for the operation of the food service department, including preparing food items, assembling patient trays, tray line assembly, delivering trays, and serving in the cafeteria. Responsible for kitchen and dining room cleanup, including dishwashing. May handle cashiering duties in the cafeteria. Accepts dietary supplies deliveries, inspects products for freshness and accuracy, and assists in food storage rotation and monitoring expiration dates.

Required Skills

• High school diploma or equivalent required; two (2) years of experience as a dietary aide may substitute.
• Food handling certification as required by State regulations.

Additional Qualifications/Skills

• Six (6) months previous food service experience preferred, especially in healthcare settings.
• Knowledge of therapeutic diets preferred.
• Professional image projection.
• Understanding of regulatory standards and compliance.
• Ability to make independent decisions when needed.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• No illegal drug or alcohol use in the workplace.
