Job summary

AristaCare Health Services is seeking a dedicated dietary assistant to support our dining services in a healthcare environment. The role involves assisting with dietary tasks, preparing and serving meals, and ensuring the serving area remains clean and compliant with policies.

You will work under the direction of the Registered Dietician and Food Service Manager, with opportunities to grow within a patient‑centered team focused on quality nutrition and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Dietary experience in a health care environment preferred but not required.
• Must communicate clearly and effectively and work cooperatively with co‑workers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Assist in all dietary functions as directed and per policies.
• Prepares and serves breakfast, snacks and noon meals according to dietary orders.
• Maintain cleanliness of serving kitchen and equipment under supervision of RD and Food Service Manager.

Job description

The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all dietary functions as directed/instructed and in accordance with established dietary policies and procedures. Preps and serves breakfast, snacks and noon meal to all participants according to dietary orders under the supervision and direction of the Registered Dietician (RD) and the Food Service Manager. Also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the serving kitchen and equipment.

Requirement

• Must have a high School diploma or equivalent
• Dietary experience in a health care environment along with knowledge of basic health and nutrition preferred but not required
• Must have the ability to communicate clearly and effectively, work cooperatively with co‑workers and be able to work independently with minimal supervision as needed
• Experience in Long‑term care/Nursing Facility preferred
