Dietary Aide, Dietary Services – Westmoreland Manor

Westmoreland Manor is seeking applicants for a full-time Dietary Aide in our dietary services department for the “PM Float” shift. We are looking for energetic, quick-learners who are able to work in a fast-paced kitchen and cafeteria environment! The pay rates for these positions are base $17.30/hour.

The purpose of this position is to prepare and serve foods for tray line. Dietary aides also check supplies, prepare supplements, maintain daily records and totals, review menus and work orders, and work tray assembly. Aides also maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and equipment/utensils, and fills-in for cooks as-needed.

Applicants must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Prior experience in long term care is preferred. At least one year of food service experience preferred.

Further requirements for the position:

  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations for purposes of converting and measuring recipes and ordering supplies.
  • Ability to operate commercial dietary equipment.
  • Ability to manipulate heavy carts.
  • Ability to lift and maneuver weights up to 75 pounds without assistance.

Selected candidates will be required to complete a pre-employment Dietary Aide Assessment (written test) and lift test, and must successfully pass both tests.
