White Oak of Columbia is seeking a friendly Dietary Aide/Cook to join our Dietary Services Team in Columbia, SC. This full-time role combines dietary aide duties with cooking responsibilities to deliver nutritious, appetizing meals and attentive resident service.

You will rotate between dietary aide and cook duties, follow meal plans, and ensure safety and sanitation across all kitchen areas. Availability for both shifts is required, with a focus on teamwork and compassionate care.

• Experience in food service, cooking, or a healthcare dietary department is a plus.

• Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Follow resident dietary restrictions and special diet requirements.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and safe food-handling practices.

When Working as a Cook:

• Prepare and cook nutritious, appetizing meals according to established menus and recipes.
• Follow resident dietary restrictions and special diet requirements.
• Maintain proper food temperatures and safe food-handling practices.
• Assist with meal planning, preparation, and portion control.
• Keep food preparation areas clean, organized, and sanitary.

When Working as a Dietary Aide:

• Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving.
• Prepare meal trays according to resident preferences and dietary needs.
• Deliver and distribute meals in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assist with cleaning dishes, utensils, kitchen equipment, and dining areas.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and infection prevention procedures.
• Support the dietary team in keeping meal service running smoothly.

Available Shifts:

• Early Shift: 5:00 AM–2:00 PM
• Late Shift: 11:00 AM–7:30 PM

IMPORTANT SCHEDULING REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be available to work BOTH shifts.
• Must be willing to rotate between Dietary Aide and Cook duties.
• Must be flexible based on departmental scheduling needs.
• Full-Time Position Only.
• This is a combined Dietary Aide/Cook position, not two separate job openings.
