Job summary

Waterman Canyon Post Acute is seeking an experienced Dietary Aide to join our dietary services team in San Bernardino, CA. The ideal candidate will have prior dietary, food service, or healthcare experience and a passion for delivering excellent resident service.

The Dietary Aide assists with meal preparation, food service, sanitation, and maintaining a clean dietary department, ensuring nutritious meals are provided per guidelines and facility standards.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary aide, food service, or healthcare experience is required.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
• Dependable, punctual, and professional.
• Food Handler Card preferred or ability to obtain upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and tray assembly.
• Deliver meals and snacks to residents in a timely manner.
• Follow resident diet orders and special dietary restrictions.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen, dining areas, and equipment.
• Wash dishes, utensils, and food preparation items.
• Store food properly and adhere to food safety regulations.
• Assist with inventory and stocking supplies as needed.
• Provide courteous and respectful service to residents, families, and staff.
