Job summary

OPCO Skilled Management is seeking a dietary aide to support meal preparation, service, and cleanup for patients and staff at a nursing center and related events. You will assist cooks, label nourishments, portion desserts and beverages, and follow center procedures.

The role emphasizes strong communication, English literacy, sanitation awareness, and prior food service or long-term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• The dietary aide candidate will have good verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand English for business necessity.
• Basic understanding of sanitation, organization and safety.
• Prior experience in food service preferred.
• Prior experience in long-term care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of tasks usually not requiring cooking skills in the preparation, service, and clean up for meals served to patients and staff in the nursing center and other special events.
• Assists cook as directed by the food service director
• Prepares and labels nourishments according to center procedures
• Prepares and portions desserts, salads and other non-entrée foods into dishes; pours beverages
• Follows production sheets and pre-preparation sheets or guidelines when appropriate
