Job summary

Heritage Grove Estates in Topeka, KS is seeking a Part-Time Dietary Aide to support residents with nutritious meals, assist in food preparation, plating, service, and clean, safe dining areas. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to meet dietary needs and preferences.

This role values empathy, attention to detail, and teamwork. A High School diploma or GED is required; training is provided for the right candidate.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Previous food service or healthcare dietary experience preferred but training available.
Ability to follow dietary guidelines and safety practices.

Responsibilities

Serve meals according to specified dietary requirements and portion sizes.
Assemble meal trays accurately and accommodate resident substitutions as needed.
Serve snacks and beverages between meals as directed.
Assist with special diets, food allergies, and therapeutic meal plans.
Sanitize kitchen equipment, dining areas, and utensils regularly.
Clean serving areas, mop floors, and dispose of trash according to safety standards.
Maintain a safe, organized kitchen and food storage environment.
Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to address residents’ dietary concerns.
Help train new nutrition services staff and students.
Monitor and restock supplies to maintain inventory levels.
