Job summary

Roscoe Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide to support kitchen staff in preparing and serving meals to residents at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities include following menus, ensuring portion control, and maintaining a clean, sanitary kitchen. The role requires reading dietary instructions, collaborating with the Cook and Dietary Manager, and adhering to food safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Prior experience in food service or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to read and follow menus, recipes, and instructions.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines, Food Handlers Certification.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation and cooking.
• Assist in the preparation and serving of meals according to dietary requirements and portion control.
• Follow menus and prepare food items as directed by the Cook or Dietary Manager.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas as assigned on cleaning schedule.
• Follow food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
