Job summary

FutureCare in Baltimore is seeking a Dietary Aide/Porter to join the Food & Hospitality team. You will support residents with meals, ensure proper food sanitation, and help maintain safety and cleanliness in dining areas.

Under the guidance of the Clinical Food Service Director, you will assist with meal service, food storage, and dining room operations while upholding high standards of care and courtesy for residents and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare environment preferred.
• Excellent communication skills necessary for resident interaction.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting and maintain professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods
• Serve and deliver food to residents as required
• Maintain cleanliness of dining areas as assigned
• Properly store food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements and spoilage
• Transport/deliver food/beverage items to assigned residents
• Assist Lead Porter or other staff in lifting or transporting large utilities within the kitchen area
• Load/operate dishwasher machine
• Ensure proper temperature, chemical supplies, and clean water levels are maintained for proper sanitation
