Job summary

Artesia is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with dietary functions and follow established policies and procedures. You will help prepare, set up, and deliver meals, ensuring palatability, safety, and timely service in resident dining areas.

Qualifications

• Previous dietary experience in acute or long term care environment preferred.
• Completion of Food Handling training and certification.
• Commitment to the company mission to deliver high quality, person-centered care with dignity, respect, compassion and integrity.

• Respects and upholds all residents' personal and property rights whenever carrying out duties, including knocking before entering a resident's room.
• Complies with all company and departmental policies and procedures.
• Ensures that dietary procedures are followed in accordance with established policies, production sheets and recipes, including the use of adaptive devices per instructions.
• Serves meals that are palatable and appetizing in appearance.
• Sets-up tray cards, food carts, dining room, etc., as instructed for meal service.
• Assists in ensuring that meals are prepared and delivered on time and at proper temperature.
