Job Title: Dietary Aide
The ideal Dietary Aide candidate is energetic, happy, customer service-oriented, enjoys interacting with people, and is self-motivated.
Responsibilities include:
- Performing various food service functions, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in food service areas, and assisting with food preparation.
- Preparing carts in a safe and sanitary manner to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for residents.
- Clearing tables promptly.
- Washing dishes.
- Completing cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping to maintain a clean dining area.
- Adhering to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures.
Requirements:
- Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, personnel, and the public.
- Must maintain regular and reliable attendance; availability on weekends and evenings is required, with an alternating bi-weekly schedule as an option.
- Obtain a Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulations).
- Knowledge of quantity food production, serving techniques, and food safety/sanitation requirements.
- Ability to follow meal preparation and service schedules.
- Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
- Full-time availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays with flexible shifts.
