Job description

Job Title: Dietary Aide

The ideal Dietary Aide candidate is energetic, happy, customer service-oriented, enjoys interacting with people, and is self-motivated.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Performing various food service functions, maintaining clean and sanitary conditions in food service areas, and assisting with food preparation.
  2. Preparing carts in a safe and sanitary manner to ensure a smooth and efficient dining experience for residents.
  3. Clearing tables promptly.
  4. Washing dishes.
  5. Completing cleaning duties such as sweeping and mopping to maintain a clean dining area.
  6. Adhering to prescribed safety and sanitation practices and procedures.

Requirements:

  1. Ability to interact positively with residents, clients, personnel, and the public.
  2. Must maintain regular and reliable attendance; availability on weekends and evenings is required, with an alternating bi-weekly schedule as an option.
  3. Obtain a Food Handlers Permit (as required by state regulations).
  4. Knowledge of quantity food production, serving techniques, and food safety/sanitation requirements.
  5. Ability to follow meal preparation and service schedules.
  6. Ability to lift/carry up to 30 pounds, push/pull up to 50 pounds, and stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
  7. Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.
  8. Full-time availability on weekends, evenings, and holidays with flexible shifts.
