Job summary

Palmdale Regional Medical Center is seeking a nutrition service professional to provide age-appropriate food and nutritional care under the supervision of a licensed dietitian. The role includes supporting meal preparation, adherence to physician orders, and maintaining sanitary food service practices.

Ideal candidates have at least two years of acute care food service experience and relevant certifications (DSS, Diet Tech, ServSafe).

Qualifications

• Two years food service experience in an acute care facility preferred.
• DSS certification or Diet Tech certification preferred.
• Maintains certification in Food Service Sanitation by the Department of Health and/or ServSafe Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate medical nutrition care under the direct supervision of a dietitian.
• Prepare and serve meals according to physician orders and patient needs.
• Assist in ensuring food service sanitation and safety standards are met.

Position Description: To provide food and nutritional care appropriate for all ages including infant, toddlers, pre-school, school age, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients as prescribed by physicians and under the direct supervision of the dietitian for age appropriate food items.
