Job summary

WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center in New Castle, PA is actively seeking motivated Dietary Aides for our community. Our team assists in the kitchen before, during, and after meals for residents, ensuring meals are served safely and to each resident's dietary needs.

You will maintain kitchen areas, prep meals, plate dishes, and collaborate with cooks to ensure quality and timeliness. We offer comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision, plus retirement and education programs.

Qualifications

• Ability to meet health compliance requirements.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Minimum 1 year food service experience.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
