Job summary

WeCare Centers in New Castle, PA, is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist in the kitchen before, during, and after meals for residents. You will help with meal preparation, serving, and ensuring foods meet dietary specifications and safety standards.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of food service experience, strong reading/writing skills, and a commitment to health compliance. We offer competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of food service experience.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Ability to meet health compliance and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas and cleanliness.
• Keep equipment, utensils, and plates clean and orderly.
• Prepare meals, snacks, and nourishments per sanitary rules and facility standards.
• Serve meals palatable, well-presented, properly heated and on time.
• Serve food from steam table or transport to resident areas.
• Honor residents' food likes/dislikes per tray tickets within diet.
• Ensure next-day food supplies are available.
• Assist cooks with meal preparation as directed.
• Follow proper handwashing and safety procedures.

WeCare Centers at Avalon Care Center is actively seeking motivatedDietary Aides for our community inNew Castle, PA. OurDietary Aides assist in the kitchen area prior to, during, and after meals are served to residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain kitchen work areas.
• Maintain equipment, utensils, and food plates clean and orderly.
• Prepares meals, snacks, and nourishments in accordance with sanitary regulations, as well as the facility standards and procedures.
• Serves meals that are palatable, appetizing in appearance, garnished and at proper temperature on a timely basis.
• Serves food from steam table and or transport food delivery carts to the resident areas.
• Honors residents food likes, dislikes per tray ticket within prescribed diet.
• Ensures food supplies for the next day production is available.
• Assists cooks in preparing meals as directed.
• Uses proper hand washing techniques and safety procedures.
