Description

The Dietary Aide follows the direction of the Certified Dietary Manager and state guidelines to ensure that food is properly prepared, served to residents, and after meals, the cleanup of the dining hall and dishes.

Responsibilities

• Assist with food preparation and cooking following universal precautions and regulations.
• Prepare and serve beverages.
• Set up and pass trays for meal service.
• Stock snack cart.
• Buss tables and trays.
• Clean the kitchen work area.
• Wash dishes.
• Follow proper handwashing guidelines.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned by the CDM or Executive Director.

Qualifications

Education/Training

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.

Licensing

• Must have Texas Food Handler Certificate.

Experience

• Experience in a commercial kitchen is preferred.
