Job summary

Universal Health Services, Inc. seeks a full-time dietary assistant at Three Rivers Midlands, a behavioral health facility serving youths. Duties include cooking, serving, food prep, dishwashing, and maintaining kitchen and dining room cleanliness to meet DHEC guidelines.

The role requires ability to estimate food needs, basic math, and the capacity to interact with residents and staff. Schedule includes days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• High-volume food production experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification preferred.
• Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
• Ability to estimate food requirements.
• Ability to operate and clean kitchen equipment.
• Excellent interaction with residents and staff.
• Flexibility to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of dining facilities operations in the hospital.

Responsibilities

Three Rivers Midlands is a comprehensive behavioral health facility treating children and adolescents through residential and Rehabilitative Behavioral Health Services (RBH). We treat males and females ages 11-18 for a wide spectrum of psychiatric issues, addictive behaviors, and chemical dependency related illnesses.

The dietary personnel are responsible for all aspects of the dining facilities dining facilities operation and ensuring DHEC and dietary guidelines are being met. Which includes cooking, serving and preparing foods, washing dishes and pots and pans, cleaning the kitchen and the dining room as well as monitoring, inventorying and storing groceries.

Full Time position. Schedule is days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• ServSafe Certification preferred.
• Minimum of two years’ experience in a high volume, food production setting, preferably in a hospital or institution setting.
• Must possess knowledge of basic math, the ability to read, write and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to estimate food requirements.
• Ability to disassemble, assemble, operate and clean equipment.
• Ability to interact with all people.
• Some risk involved in the event of aggressive/out-of-control residents.
