The Stratford is seeking a dedicated Dietary Aide to support our culinary team in delivering nutritious meals to residents. You will assist with meal service, maintain cleanliness, and help ensure a positive dining experience for seniors.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a food service role preferred but not required.
• Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow directions and work efficiently as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation, portioning, and serving to residents according to dietary plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas; wash dishes, utensils, and equipment as needed.
• Provide meal assistance and ensure a positive dining experience for residents.
• Follow all food safety protocols and proper storage/handling procedures.
• Assist with receiving and storing food and supplies; flag shortages to the Dietary Manager.
• Collaborate with the dietary team to keep kitchen and dining operations running smoothly.
• Support residents with special dietary requests and preferences during meals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Meal Assistance: Help prepare, portion, and serve meals to residents according to dietary plans and special requests.


• Sanitation & Cleanliness: Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining areas. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment as needed.


• Resident Support: Provide meal assistance to residents as needed, including helping with meal setup and serving, and ensuring a positive dining experience.


• Food Safety: Follow all food safety protocols, including proper food storage, handling, and sanitation practices, to ensure food is safe for consumption.


• Inventory Support: Assist in receiving and storing food and supplies, checking inventory, and notifying the Dietary Manager of any shortages or supply needs.


• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the dietary team to ensure the kitchen and dining areas run smoothly, assisting with food prep and meal service as directed.


• Resident Engagement: Assist in fulfilling special dietary requests and ensuring residents’ individual preferences and needs are met during meal times.

Qualifications:
