Job summary

Ayden Healthcare of Wauseon is seeking a Culinary Services Aide to assist in preparing and serving meals for patients and staff, following the approved menu and diet orders. You will support the Culinary Director with food handling and service, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards.

Responsibilities include assisting with meal service, maintaining kitchen and dining area cleanliness, and performing duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, high school education.
• Experience in food prep and service preferred.
• Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing / term care facility strongly preferred.
• Food handler’s permit preferred.
• Superior customer service skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation and/or service of meals for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Culinary Director.
• Serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident’s diet order.
• Use proper food handling/safety techniques and prepare as scheduled according to the menu.
• Wash dishes when necessary or as directed by the Culinary Director; perform other duties as assigned.

Position Summary of the Culinary Services Aide:

Assists in the preparation and/ or service of meals/ food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Culinary Director. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient's/resident's food preferences and diet order.

Responsibilities & Duties of the Culinary Services Aide:

• Using proper food handling/ safety techniques and is of proper quantity
• Completed on time as scheduled, and is in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet order
• Wash dishes, etc. when necessary or when instructed to do so by the Culinary Director.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.
