Position Summary of the Culinary Services Aide:

Assists in the preparation and/or service of meals/food for patients, employees, and special events as instructed by the Culinary Director. They serve food and snacks according to the planned menu/spreadsheet and the patient’s/resident's food preferences and diet order.

Responsibilities & Duties of the Culinary Services Aide:

1. Use proper food handling/safety techniques and ensure correct quantities.
2. Complete tasks on time as scheduled, in accordance with the menu & residents’ diet orders.
3. Wash dishes, etc., when necessary or instructed by the Culinary Director.
4. Perform other duties as assigned by the Culinary Director when necessary.

Qualifications of the Culinary Services Aide:

1. High school education or equivalent required.
2. Experience in food prep and service preferred.
3. Experience in food prep and service within a skilled nursing/long-term care facility strongly preferred.
4. Food handler’s permit preferred.
5. Superior customer service skills required.
