Job summary

Avant Rehabilitation & Care Center is seeking a Dietary Aide in Trenton, NJ. The role involves reviewing patients' dietary requirements with Dieticians to develop menus and nutritional care plans, and assisting with meal preparation and serving.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, plus strong communication and teamwork skills. You will help ensure sanitation standards, manage kitchen stock, and support the Cook with daily tasks in a team-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to comply with sanitation regulations.
• Good communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Strong computer and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Review dietary requirements with Dieticians to develop healthy menus and nutritional care plans.
• Prepare individual dietary menus based on patients' medical conditions, health, preferences and distastes.
• Assist with meal preparation and serving.
• Inspect special diet trays for compliance with dietary restrictions.
• Assist the Cook with determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day and maintain stock levels.
• Assist with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.

Responsibilities of a Dietary Aide

• Reviewing patients' dietary requirements and preferences and discussing them with Dieticians to develop healthy menus and nutritional care plans.
• Preparing individual dietary menus based on patients' medical conditions, physical health, preferences, and distastes.
• Assisting with meal preparation and serving.
• Inspecting special diet trays to ensure they comply with the dietary restrictions.
• Assisting the Cook with determining kitchen supplies and stock for the day, as well as checking and maintaining stock levels.
• Assisting with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas.
