Summary

The Dietary Aide at Riverdale Health Care Center is responsible for assisting in all dietary functions as directed and in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Serve meals that are appealing in appearance and taste.
• Assist in serving meals promptly and efficiently.
• Serve food according to established portion control procedures.
• Assist with daily or scheduled cleaning duties following policies and procedures.
• Clean work tables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other equipment.
• Sweep and mop floors as directed.
• Carry soiled utensils to the wash area.
• Return clean utensils to proper storage areas.
• Wash and clean utensils as instructed.
• Manage garbage and keep work areas clean, dry, and hazard-free.
• Set up meal trays, food carts, dining areas, etc., as instructed.
• Assist cooks in meal preparation.
• Distribute and collect menus as needed.
• Obtain food supplies for upcoming meals.
• Assist in checking diet trays before distribution.
• Deliver food carts, trays, and other items to designated areas.
• Serve food in the dining room as instructed.
• Perform dishwashing and cleaning procedures to ensure utensils are available for the next meal.
• Remove food trays from carts and dining areas for dishwashing.
• Prepare and deliver snacks as instructed.

Work Hours and Benefits:

This is a full-time position with shifts available Monday through Friday, every other weekend off, along with a competitive wage and benefits package. We offer a family-friendly work environment.
