Position Summary :

Assist in all food-related functions including preparation, processing, and delivery to patients.

Responsibilities :

• Assist the Kitchen Supervisor and/or Cook as needed.
• Help prepare meals according to patient dietary needs.
• Assist in serving meals that are appealing and appetizing.
• Set up meal service timely, maintain food carts, and deliver meal trays.
• Follow sanitation and food safety guidelines during meal prep and cleanup.
• Keep work areas clean (sweep/mop floors, sterilize countertops, etc.).
• Wash and clean cooking equipment, utensils, trays, etc.
• Return clean dishes and utensils to proper storage.
• Collect and dispose of garbage.
• Dispose of food and waste per facility regulations.
• Prepare food supplies for the next meal.
• Follow all safety regulations and precautions at all times.
