Responsibilities

• Maintain proper temperature for hot and cold foods.
• Interpret recipes and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Break down carts and remove scraps from trays.
• Assemble and deliver patient trays, supplements, and special requests.
• Portion, weigh, and garnish food per menus and diet instructions.
• Assemble patient trays on time.
• Assist patients with menu completion.
• Clean and sanitize work areas.
• Organize and manage time effectively.

Qualifications

• Food handler's permit, if required by regulation.
• Training in therapeutic diets preferred.
• Recent institutional cooking experience preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety guidelines preferred.
• Availability for weekdays, weekends, evenings, or nights as needed.
